As part of the continuing utilization and beautification of Mimi’s Corner, native grass seed was planted and covered in a wood chip mulch and is now awaiting spring moisture for successful germination.

Mimi’s Corner is a pocket park at the corner of Chaffee County roads 114 and 160.

The project was coordinated by Salida-area Parks, Open-space and Trails with essential help from the county weed department, Western Native Seed Co. of Cotopaxi, Salida and SPOT volunteers.
