Drew Martin, a senior at Buena Vista High School, is the son of Doug and Becky Martin and the brother of Zakk, Kiernan, Summer and Danny Martin. He has the privilege of growing up near his grandparents, Pat and Kathy Martin, supporting and cheering him on in all that he does.
Drew has been a member of the BVHS football team all four years, played basketball his freshman and sophomore years and will end his high school career in the spring having played four years of baseball.
Drew received the Optimist Club Award as a freshman, earned "Best in Show" his sophomore year for a desk he made in Wood Shop and has carried a GPA of 3.6 or better all four years of high school.
Baseball is Drew's favorite sport! His love for the game was shared with his Uncle Dan who coached Drew for many years.
Outside of school, Drew likes fishing, photography and playing video games.
Drew is undecided where he will attend college, but he hopes to be able to play baseball wherever he ends up.
Mr. Greg Perrin, a coach and teacher at BVHS, says of Drew, "Drew's work ethic and attitude are an example for the rest of the student body. His leadership skills have grown considerably this year and he is a huge asset to our school."
