Robert "Bobby" Schumann, son of Robert and Jana Schumann, is a senior at Buena Vista High School. Bobby's favorite class is advanced metals in the metals shop, where he is currently in the stage of planning his year-long project build.
He has been a Link Crew Leader for the past two years and has earned a spot on the honor roll all four years of his high school career.
Other activities he enjoys are mission trips across the country, and most recently worldwide in which he participated in a volunteer mission trip to Puerto Rico this past summer. Bobby also has participated in the golf and basketball programs freshman through senior years.
In his free time, Bobby enjoys hunting and backpacking in the great outdoors and long boarding around town.
He is planning on attending Colorado State University in Fort Collins to earn a degree in biomedical sciences, and
ultimately plans on pursuing a doctorate in physical therapy.
Lea Ann Johnson, American literature and French teacher at Buena Vista High School, says of Bobby, "This young man is the epitome of authentic kindness, gentlemanly manners and a disciplined work ethic."
