Anthony Joseph Schiappacasse, 17, died June 23, 2005, in Salida.

He was born Jan. 30, 1988, in Boulder to Joseph Anthony and Barbara (Putz) Schiappacasse.

Anthony was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, a former member of the Monarch Ski team, a Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteer and an altar server at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

He attended Longfellow Elementary School and Salida Middle School until he and his family moved to Colorado Springs. Anthony enjoyed skateboarding, snowboarding, basketball and playing guitar and trumpet.

Anthony was preceded in death by his father and sister, Rosella Schiappacasse.

He is survived by his mother, Barbara Schiappacasse, Colorado Springs; grandparents Arlin Putz, Colorado Springs and Jane Schiappacasse, Royal Oak, Mich.; aunts Mary Schiappacasse RSM of Michigan and Judy (Rick) Wilson of Orchard Lake, Mich.; uncles Ed Schiappacasse of Royal Oak, Mich., Louie Schiappacasse of Salida and Steve Putz of Salida; cousins Peter and Ryan Calloway and Noah Wilson, all of Orchard Lake, Mich.

Viewing will be from 1-4 p.m. June 28, 2005, at Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home. Mass of the Christian Burial will be at 11 a.m. June 29 at St. Joseph Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery.

Friends who desire may make memorial contributions to the Neighbor to Neighbor Volunteers and the Association of Community Living in Boulder County through Lewis and Glenn Funeral Home.
