The Salida Council for the Arts Creative Mixer will feature artists Janice Reich, Steve Schmidt and Patti Vincent and musician Jasper Lau from 5:30-7 p.m. June 13 at the Salida SteamPlant Paquette Gallery, 220 W. Sackett Ave.

The Creative Mixer is a free monthly public gathering of those interested in knowing more about the local arts scene in a casual social setting, according to a press release.

Free hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar will be available.

Pianist Lau, one of two Salida Council for the Arts high school scholarship recipients, will pursue a piano performance major at the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music this fall.

Reich is a gourd artist from Mancos.

Salidan Schmidt focuses his work on the varying landscapes between the Pacific Ocean and the Continental Divide.

Vincent’s studio practice includes oil, gouache, relief printmaking, drawing and teaching.
