State troopers report wrecks

Colorado State Patrol Trooper Brandon Wilkins investigated a single-vehicle incident Nov. 7 on U.S. 50 west of Salida. Tara Ordaz, 48, Pueblo, was westbound in a Ford Explorer when it struck a deer. Ordaz came to a controlled stop and reported no injury.

Trooper Don Delorme investigated a two-vehicle incident Nov. 3 on U.S. 285 south of Johnson Village. Debra Weigel, 52, Villa Grove, was southbound in a Nissan Maxima. Douglas Jenson, 45, Buena Vista, was northbound in a Ford F-250 pickup when one of its wheels broke off. The wheel continued rolling, striking Weigel’s vehicle.
