NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING BEFORE THE PLANNING COMMISSION FOR THE CITY OF SALIDA CONCERNING A PROPOSED AMENDMENT TO CHAPTER 16 LAND USE AND DEVELOPMENT OF THE SALIDA MUNICIPAL CODE REGARDING THE PROPOSED CENTRAL BUSINESS ECONOMIC OVERLAY
TO ALL MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC AND INTERESTED PERSONS: PLEASE TAKE NOTICE that on November 26, 2018, at or about the hour of 6:00 p.m., a public hearing will be conducted by the City of Salida Planning Commission at City Council Chambers, 448 East First Street, Suite 190, Salida, Colorado regarding an amendment proposed to Chapter 16 of the Salida Municipal Code to add new zone district overlay entitled Central Business Economic Overlay which applies to an area of downtown generally from E Street to the Monarch Spur Trail; 3rd Street to the Arkansas River. The purpose of the overlay is to promote the economic vitality of the downtown by limiting residential uses on the ground floor of buildings and providing alternatives to requiring parking on-site.
Any recommendation by the Planning Commission regarding the above proposed amendments to the Salida Municipal Code shall be forwarded to the City Council for review and public hearing.
