BAILEY – The body of LeAnn Meyer, a woman missing for months from Wheat Ridge, was found near Bailey, and the Park County Sheriff’s Office is involved in a possible homicide investigation.
A group of people called the Park County Sheriff’s Office after finding human remains near their cabin Thursday.
Park County Undersheriff Monte Gore said he couldn’t comment other than to say the Park County Sheriff’s Office was partnering with the Wheat Ridge Police Department on the homicide investigation.
“Based on the fact that it’s an ongoing investigation, I can’t comment further at this time,” he said.
According to news reports, Meyer was last seen Feb. 7 when she left work early. Police found her two vehicles in March in two different locations near her home.
Wheat Ridge police have scheduled a news conference for 10 a.m. today to discuss the case, Gore said.
