Victoria Tavern will host a Pabst Blue Ribbon art show Tuesday at the tavern with the winning entry to be painted as a mural on the outside wall.
Molly Simonson, tavern owner, said artwork can be dropped off from noon to 10 p.m. Tuesday, and patron judging will take place between 6 and 10 p.m.
First, second and third prizes, including Pabst Blue Ribbon items and a long board, will be awarded that night, Simonson said, adding that artists can continue to submit artwork throughout the week for the grand prize.
The grand prize winner will receive $500 and have their art painted as a mural on the tavern.
All entries will remain on display in the bar through Oct. 14, when the grand prize winner will be chosen.
“It is really a wonderful opportunity for a local artist,” Simonson said, “not only the mural on the building, but the winning artwork will be entered into the PBR national art competition.”
The space for the mural is 27 feet wide by 7½ feet tall, and all entries must incorporate Pabst Blue Ribbon branding.
