People who want to purchase engraved bricks to honor military veterans on the wall at Fremont County War Memorial Park must place their orders by 4 p.m. Tuesday.
Fremont County Veterans Service Officer Betty Hanawalt reported in late November that another 20 brick engraving orders were needed to fulfill the minimum of 50 orders for the next engraving on the wall.
Hanawalt thanked Fremont County residents Thursday for their “overwhelming response” during the December holiday period, and said she now has 128 brick engraving orders.
The name of any veteran, living or dead, is eligible for engraving on the memorial wall. The cost to engrave a brick is $50 and the fee must be submitted with the order form.
Order forms are available at the Veterans Service Office on the lower floor of the Fremont County Administration Building.
Hanawalt said her office will notify people who placed orders about the engraving date when it is known. The American Legion and Boy Scouts will conduct a dedication ceremony for the new names, expected to take place in May.
